Cause
Abbotsford Hospice Society & Grief Support Society (AHGSS) is a non-profit organization providing free-of-charge bereavement and palliative services in Abbotsford and its surrounding areas since 1985.
Our mission is to support children, youth, adults and their families as they cope with grief, death and dying. We support children as young as 3 years old and up, and believe that a child old enough to love is old enough to grieve. We provide one-to-one and grief support groups, workshops, family activities, memorial events, training, education and more, all tailored to meet the needs of our community. We raise 82% of our operating budget through donations and community support.
This past fiscal year we impacted over 31,000 individuals in our community, and we are proud to be recognized as ‘Favorite Charitable Organization’ for 2025 by Abbotsford’s A-List’s presented by the Abbotsford News.
